Please see below dates of Funding & Advice Workshops which Fermanagh Rural Community Network have organised for your group to assist you obtain funding, resources and projects for your group and local communities.
These next three workshops are being delivered by Neil Irwin of niFundraising who has extensive experience of advising organisations on securing funding.
‘Building Positive Rural Communities’ Project
WHAT DO WE WANT? GOOD IDEAS!
Wednesday 22nd MAY at 7.30pm in Gransha Hall, 47 Granshagh Road, Granshagh Big, Enniskillen, BT92 2BH
This workshop will help you better ask your communities what they need, want, dream of and to shape these conversations, surveys and ideas into credible and ’people led’ projects. Essential to shaping successful funding applications and getting your communities on board – this work is the very starting point of making good funding applications and community fundraising.FUNDING & FUNDRAISING – Where’s the money? Thursday 6TH JUNE at 7.30pm in Tamlaght Women’s Institute Hall, Tamlaght
An extremely practical workshop highlighting some the best funding and fundraising sources for local projects including from grant funding, community and events fundraising. This workshop will recommend some of the lowest cost and highest return fundraising activities to help you make best use of your time and effort raising funds for your projects.HOW TO MAKE MORE SUCCESSFUL FUNDING APPLICATIONS
Wednesday19TH JUNE at 7.30pm in Carrosyl Community Centre, Carrowshee Park, Lisnaskea
This workshop provides guidance and tips on what successful applications look like – utilising the experience and knowledge of your trainer who has over 20 years’ experience of grant funding both as funder and applicant. The session will work through real world examples and tips and dispel some of the myths about grant applications.
These sessions are being delivered by Neil Irwin MInstF (Dip) who has over 20 years experience in project development and fundraising in the voluntary and community sector in Northern Ireland. Neil is a former chair of the Institute of Fundraising (NI), former assessor with BBC Children in Need and current Secretary of the Victoria Homes Trust. As a qualified community development practitioner and fundraising, Neil brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to his training for community and voluntary organisations large and small. For the past 6 year Neil has been an independent trainer, advisor and consultant to the charity and not-for-profit sector.
